Meet Summer 🐾
My love for animals started at a young age, inspired by Free Willy and the incredible bond between an animal and its trainer. Growing up, my mom and I rescued dogs from puppy mills and fostered many dogs in need, teaching me the importance of patience, care, and proper training.
At 15, I moved to China and got my first puppy. Having worked with rescue dogs, I quickly learned that training wasn't just about teaching commands, it was about safety, confidence, communication, and building a strong relationship. From potty training and socialization to fun tricks, this is where my passion for dog training truly flourished.
After earning my dog training certifications and moving back to Canada, I turned that passion into a career as a professional dog trainer. My experience taught me how important it is to tailor training to the individual dog and the people they share their life with.
That's why I created Pawlite Paws Academy, to provide personalized training that strengthens the bond between dogs and their owners while helping dogs become happy, confident, well-mannered companions without taking away what makes them uniquely themselves.
